How we will report Canadian results
This website reports no Canadian result yet. Before AgriNova AI reports one, the planned Prairie beta would have to answer five questions, and each case would have to include every record in the standard below. AgriNova AI's next evidence priority is a locally measured wheat, canola or barley case, reported to this standard.
Prairie beta · Planned · 2027–28
Five questions the planned beta would examine
The planned Canadian work would examine whether the workflow is useful for local crops, conditions and farming practices. Each question should connect to a clear measurement method.
Useful priorities
Did the observation lead to a relevant field check?
Clear explanations
Did the grower understand the supporting information and uncertainty?
Local relevance
Did the interpretation fit the crop, season and field conditions?
Reliable records
Were the observation, action and outcome documented consistently?
Measured outcomes
Where yield or input effects are studied, was a suitable baseline used, and were other factors that could influence the results explained?
The case-reporting standard
A Canadian case would be reported with each record below, and where a record is missing the case would say so. Results where nothing changed, or where things went worse, would be reported as well. The last column shows, for comparison, what the 2021 historical notes on this website include.
| Record | A reported Canadian case | The 2021 historical notes, as shown on this website |
|---|---|---|
| Farm consent | Written consent from the farm to publish the case, naming the farm only if it agrees. | No farm is named; no cultivar, inputs or field outline is shown without the grower's consent. |
| Crop and season | The crop, the season and the dates that matter to the decision. | Shown: maize and barley, in Iran, in 2021. |
| Baseline or comparison | A comparison area or earlier seasons, chosen before the season starts, and why they are comparable. | Not supplied: no control plot or untreated comparison. |
| Field and zone boundaries | The boundaries of the field and of any zone the result refers to. | Not shown. |
| Dated observations | Each satellite image and field observation, with its date and quality. | Described in words; image dates are not shown. |
| Action log | What was done, where and when, and who decided. | Described in words only. |
| Invoices, meter readings and application records | The records behind each cost, each water reading and each product applied. | Not shown. |
| Calibrated harvest records | Yields from a calibrated scale or yield monitor. | Not supplied: no harvest weights. |
| All incremental costs | Every extra cost of the work, including time, travel and setup. | Not shown. |
| Uncertainty | How confident the result is, and what else could explain it. | Limits stated in words; no measure of uncertainty. |
| Adverse and null results | Cases where nothing changed, or where results were worse, reported as well. | Not shown. |
| Named agronomist review | A review by a named agronomist who did not produce the figures, with its date. | No independent review is recorded. |
